🇸🇬 Singapore · 35×45mm
One photo from your phone,
a photo that meets the spec
The AI cuts out the background, replaces it with plain white and crops to
the exact size.
You get the file for the ICA e-Service upload and a 4R sheet you can print yourself.

✅ One ICA photo, almost every Singapore application
- ·Singapore passport — new application or renewal, through the ICA e-Service
- ·NRIC — first registration at 15, and re-registration at 30
- ·Permanent Residence (PR) application, and the Re-Entry Permit
- ·Singapore citizenship application
- ·Student's Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) and Dependant's Pass
- ·Entry visa, and the APEC Business Travel Card
- ·Singapore driving licence
※ 400 x 514 px and 35 x 45 mm are the same shape, so one crop gives you both the upload file and the printed photo. File limits differ by form — ICA e-Services accept up to 8 MB, while the APEC card and some older forms cap at 60 KB. Our upload file is under 60 KB, so it fits both.
ℹ️ Work passes are different — you do not need this photo
For an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit, MOM takes the card photo at the Services Centre when the worker registers, together with their fingerprints. MOM does not publish a photo size and does not ask you to upload one — the only images you upload are scans of the travel document pages.
※ Singpass and Myinfo have no photo field either. If a form really does ask you for a passport-size photo, the Singapore specification above is the one to use.
⚠️ Four things ICA actually asks for
- 1. Not a selfie. ICA says selfies taken on a phone usually do not meet its requirements and can delay your application — ask someone else, or use a timer and stand back.
- 2. Resize only. You may resize the photo and change nothing else — no filters, no beauty mode, no changes to your facial features. That is why the formal-wear option is turned off for this format.
- 3. Plain white, no shadow. Light grey is accepted only if your hair is white.
- 4. Recent. Within the last 3 months for ICA documents. A driving licence photo may be up to 3 years old — glasses are allowed throughout, as long as there is no glare and the frames do not cover your eyes.

What you get
ICA e-Service upload file
400 x 514 px, under 60 KB. ICA e-Services accept up to 8 MB today, but the APEC Business Travel Card and some older forms cap the file at 60 KB — one file fits both.
Print-ready single
413 x 531 px, 300 dpi
4R print sheet
Eight 35 x 45 mm photos on one 4R (4 x 6 in) sheet, with cut lines
※ Which files you get depends on the item you bought. Everything arrives by email — we do not post printed photos to Singapore.
🖨️ Print the 4R sheet yourself
The print sheet is a standard 4R (4 x 6 in) photo with 8 photos on it and cut lines between them. Send it to a photo shop or a self-service print kiosk as an ordinary 4R print, then cut along the lines.
※ Most ICA counters take the digital photo, so you only need the sheet when a form asks for a printed one. Print it on a matte or semi-matte finish.
How to take it
- · Ask someone else to take it, or use a timer — ICA says selfies usually do not meet its requirements
- · Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, both eyes open
- · Your head from chin to crown has to be 25 to 35 mm — 56 to 78% of the frame height
- · Plain white background with no shadow behind you (light grey is allowed if your hair is white)
- · No headgear, unless you wear it for religious or racial custom and it does not hide your face
- · Glasses are fine, but no glare on the lenses and the frames must not cover your eyes
- · Taken within the last 3 months (a driving licence photo may be up to 3 years old)
- · No filters, beauty mode or retouching — ICA allows you to resize the photo and nothing else
